The famous phrase used by the late Windsor Davies as Sergeant Major Tudor Bryan ‘Shut Up’ Williams in ‘It Ain’t Half Hot Mum’.
The series ran from 1974 until 1981, but then, those that need reminding of this will not remember his delivery of this remark, sarcastically in a flat monotone.
Sadly Windsor passed away in 2019 and although he will be remembered for many things, I am quite sure this phrase will be one of the most recalled.
